Prompt: A maelstrom is violent and turbulent like a storm or whirlwind. I heard of the term for the first time while I was reading a novel where there was this maelstrom of problems for one of the characters and he was stuck in it. It makes me describe dramatic events of things better. I can now use maelstrom to give more variety to my work. It makes for better communication because it makes me communicate things better and descriptively.
